The Maths NQT Person Specification
This lovely school are looking for an inspirational Maths NQT who has a 'Good' or better grading from observations in the classroom, and lots of natural creativity and flair. This post requires a Teacher who has the skills to bring an enjoyable tone to their teaching, giving students a fun learning experience that will lead to greater interest, greater results, and greater attainment! You should have a strong understanding of good classroom practice, as well as an adaptable teaching style to help students who are starting to fall behind, as well as set challenging enough tasks for those who are starting to pull ahead! The Maths NQT Role
As a Maths NQT, your role will involve you working with and learning from the schools dedicated Maths Department, headed up by a very strong and much-loved Head of Department who has overseen a huge improvement in Maths SATs and GCSEs in his time there; a really great character to learn from! In addition, you will be gaining knowledge of new teaching approaches and methods by making the most of the school's CPD and training schemes! Day-to-day, you will be adding your own talent for academic progression to a creative teaching team who value excellent exams and academic development above all else. The students are still improving in this area as only 3 years ago the results coming out at GCSE level were comfortably below the national average in Maths. This is why the school want to find a strong Maths NQT who can inject new enthusiasm into the school and help continue to inspire young Maths mind to hit new heights!
