For this role you must be a resolute and motivated Maths graduate who has a strong academic record with a 2:2 or above in your degree, and can bring bags of enthusiasm and determination. You should have an empathetic approach to your pupils to see them achieve both academically and personally. You will arrive with a commitment progress the educational, academic and social well-being of pupils with SEN requirements.
As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant your role will involve you supporting teaching and learning across the school. In general, you will be ensuring SEN pupils reach their personal academic goals and aiding children on a 1:1 and small group basis. An experienced teacher will be on hand to provide you with close mentoring and support. A mentor will be on-hand throughout the year, to aid your development and give you crucial guidance that will increase the progress you make during this first part of your career.
