Client Details

Engine Mobile OE Division designs and manufactures engine filtration solutions for leading OEM's predominantly in the heavy duty transportation market. The Racor Filter Division can manage global customer requirements in all stages of the process from concept, design and validation through to manufacture of complete engine filtration systems.

Description

Maintenance of mainframe ordering system

  • Integrity of data
  • Updating of parameters

Ordering production parts

  • Forecasting/scheduling - calculating monthly firm order requirements and additional monthly forecasts via a PC based system
  • Purchase schedule management, set up and maintenance
  • Processing MRP
  • Ordering non-credit card consumable stock

Supplier management

  • Expediting on-time delivery
  • Vendor details (lead times, MOQ's)
  • Supplier non-conformance
  • Invoice queries
  • Goods receipt queries and resolution, decision making in harness with logistics team
  • Supplier visits - conduct supplier reviews in order to drive improvement against defined targets

Inventory control

  • Reduce inventory/improve D.S.I. performance via MRP and supplier forecasting/scheduling
  • Improve parts availability
  • Set up and maintenance of the inventory management boards
  • Excess and obsolete stock management
  • Ensure that all Kanban's and stock levels are re-sized as and when required to support parts on pull and remain aligned with PFEP

Logistics development

  • Development/implementation of lean replenishment methods - PFEP (Plan For Every Part)

New product/customer support

  • Improve stock run-out management
  • Minimise obsolescence costs (support ECN process)
  • Improve new product availability (support ECN process)

Develop strong relationships with internal departments to engage them on a timely basis as appropriate to ensure agreements are consistent with company objectives and standards

Profile

  • Individual able to work autonomously, with initiative, with experience in a results and target driven environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of business particularly between 'peer' departments
  • Advanced skill level Microsoft Excel e.g. pivot tables, formulas
  • Ability to understand the importance of material flow within a business and therefore identify and improve key areas

Relevant experience in changing, developing, maintaining and growing supplier relationships
