A well-established global leading tier 1 supplier into the aerospace industry who specialise in the design and manufacture of precision forged and machined components are looking to recruit for a Production Planner to support their in-house production team.
Salary: £ 30,000 - £35,000 p.a.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7.30 - 4.30
Friday 7.30 - 12.30
Suitable for: Production Planner
The Production Planner will be responsible for managing the operations planning activities for a specific business area. You will be required to plan activities for your designated area to ensure that the capabilities and capacities of the operations are balanced with the needs of sales to best support customer and business needs.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading weekly SIOP meetings
Supporting Head of Planning with monthly SIOP meetings and inputs
Ensuring weekly planning activities are robust with future action plans in place
Maintaining detailed load and capacity plans to ensure the effective use of resources to satisfy customer needs and meet financial targets
Manage and reschedule arrears within business area
Ensure plans are in place to meet contractual requirements for buffer stock with customers
The successful candidate for the Production Planners position will have the following:
HNC qualified or equivalent within a relevant engineering discipline - Desirable
Experience of production planning and control - Essential
Proven track record of negotiating with suppliers - Essential
MRP Planning - Essential
Delcam software - Desirable
