Our client, an international boat building company, is seeking an experienced Materials Controller to work as part of their warehouse operation. The role combines 70% administration with 30% hands on warehouse duties.

Working within a small team your duties will include:
Booking in parts deliveries through 'Goods In'.
Handling delivery issues/discrepancies/parts returns directly with the supplier or Procurement team.
Putting stock away and allocating storage locations.
Operation of a Counterbalance forklift.
Processing Sales Orders ready for picking.
Taking part in Pre-shipment 'Parts Accuracy' checks.
Picking and packing Sales orders ready for shipment.
Carrying out regular Inventory checks, ensuring that stock levels remain accurate.
Actively assist with the organisation and implementation of the annual Stock Take.
Ensuring that the warehouse area is kept clean, tidy and organised at all times.

You will need:
Proven experience within warehousing and distribution environments.
A current Counterbalance Forklift Licence that is RTITB accredited (CPCS or ITSSAR).
The ability to be a team player, with a competitive and committed nature, to achieve departmental targets.
The capability to work under pressure and achieve multiple delivery deadlines.
A methodical and organised approach to your duties.
The capability to self-manage day-to-day working time effectively and efficiently.
A confident and calm manner with a passion for problem-solving.
Good attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task.
Excellent telephone manner with good verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
SAP experience beneficial but not essential.

Based in Upton working Monday to Friday 7.00 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. (40 hours) with pay rate of £9.45 per hour, optional overtime, 22 days holiday and bank holidays, 4% non-contributory pension contributions, sick pay, life cover, canteen facilities, a safe working environment (18001 accredited), sports and social club, work wear and, after 4 years an extra 3 days holiday, private medical insurance and Denplan.
