Purpose and Accountabilities

In close collaboration with the Facilities, provide continuous daily support that results in

  • safe production and maximised availability by ensuring
  • delivery of the right kit to the right place, at the right time and the right cost

Main activities include

  • Provision of Materials Management (MM) expertise, on the frontline

Delivery of all Facility Material Management requirements, including:

o Input to the Work Scheduling and Planning processes

o E2E management of repair orders

o Support turnarounds, pit stops, unplanned shutdowns & outages

o Responsibility for Material Availability and Materials on Time performance

o Appropriate mitigation of Facility priorities, threats and opportunities

Delivery of cost effective supply chain solutions by:

o Proactively challenging demand, specification, cost and advising suitable sourcing strategy options, including re-use of surplus

o Escalation of supplier performance matters to CP Leads and Contract Holders

o Contributing to business performance reviews

o Effective implementation of Material Management and CP Processes, including promoting appropriate use of Material Masters, avoidance of generics

o Escalation of RTP process and system issues

Effective collaboration with key stakeholders including:

o Offshore personnel

o Onshore Maintenance and Engineering teams

o Contract Management teams

o C&P (Contract Specialists, Buyer/Expeditors, RtP)

o Logistics and Warehouse

o IAP

  • Continuous Improvement coach, delivering sustainable improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrating safety leadership by making suitable interventions and undertaking site visits

Skills and Requirements

  • Caring and strong team-member that is also able to function independently when co-located within other business teams
  • Proven ability in development and maintenance of effective, influencing relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Track record in data analysis is strongly preferred, together with experience in use of data to influence business decisions
  • Demonstrable track record in generating/implementing ideas that result in continuous improvement
  • Delivering commercial solutions with speed and simplicity
  • Proven track record of coaching peers in processes and continuous improvement
  • Proven and sustained experience of Material Management processes and systems is strongly preferred for this role. These include:
    • SAP-IM and SAP-MM to control material and warehouse activities
    • Material Master and Bill of Material processes
