You will manage all aspects of the brands sales and profit performance versus budget and prior years, alerting the Managing Director and the Management Team any potential issues or concerns, recommend ways in which performance could be improved and maintained, create or commission a strategic and/tactical new product development programme for each brand, and bring this to market with all speed, liaising where appropriate with outside experts in design, packaging, formulation, development, production etc. You will produce an advertising and promotional program for each brand where appropriate and liaise with external experts such as advertising and research agencies, PR agencies, media buying agencies, etc in developing and deployment of brand marketing plans. Liaise effectively and professionally with all other departments in the company, and the Group Marketing should ensure a particularly close and productive relationship with the sales team. Ensure that all aspects of the brands meet all relevant regulatory requirements and produce brand and NPD OR A&P presentations of the highest standard for presentation to retailers, and to accompany the Sales team on important brand presentations to key retailers.
You will have good commercial sense, the ability to assume authority and responsibility and to work to tight deadlines. You will possess excellent time and people management, excellent presentation and social skills and you will have excellent communication skills.
You will have a good knowledge of Outlook, Excel PowerPoint, Word, a sound knowledge of UK retail sector and specialist marketing knowledge.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in marketing/product management at senior brand level or above, ideally in health and beauty sector.
