The Marketing Manager will lead the strategic marketing planning process and is responsible for all marketing activities with the overall objective of delivering agreed commercial goals. This includes implementing research, evaluation and understanding of our customer base and product users, working with the UK sales and clinical teams and distributors (export markets) to learn and identify suitable routes to market, managing product launches, planning and managing relevant events and exhibitions and management and selection of agency suppliers to assist in other general marketing activities. The role will engage with geographic expansion by providing support to distributors with marketing collateral. The role requires the ability to undertake strategic planning, develop the marketing mix and has an element of hands-on with significant management responsibility.

The role is full time Monday-Friday, 40 hrs per week, and requires travel across UK and Europe on a regular basis (up to 20% of time). Our office is located in Wembley, London.

Responsibilities

  • Line management responsibility for the design function of 4 heads.

  • Make recommendations for the organisational development of the Marketing function to support a sustained period of rapid growth and lead the recruitment of a high performing marketing team.

  • Work closely with all key stakeholders including Sales, Clinical Nurse Manager Senior Leadership to develop the marketing strategy and ensure all product marketing activities are closely aligned.

  • Develop our product positioning and pricing strategy by market segment in the UK and in other geographic territories.

  • Develop the digital marketing strategy (including the corporate website and social media) to promote the brand(s) identity and oversee its implementation through the marketing team and selected agencies.

  • Challenge and explore options for our product value propositions.

  • Implementation, customisation and creation of tools, procedures and documents in support of direct and indirect sales processes, both within the UK and across targeted Countries.

  • Develop effective product knowledge and disseminate this in the form of marketing materials, documentation and information to the sales force, clinical teams and our distributors.

  • Provide written product/ market / competitor reports to include assessment on pricing, differentiators and features and benefits and feedback to the Director of Sales and Marketing as required.

  • Uphold a strong presence within the "wound care community" by proactively building and maintaining relationships with KOL’s, current and prospective clients, distributors and other notable figures within our industry.

  • Develop and drive a VOC ("Voice of the Customer") program in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager and Sales team, providing relevant feedback and suggested improvements.

  • Make relevant recommendations and updates to the marketing plan and strategic plan from the outcome of market analysis.

  • Prepare product forecasts, identify and scope business development opportunities and profile potential target distributor markets for your Products.

  • In close cooperation with the Clinical Nurse Manager oversee and lead clinical marketing activities and KOL development continuously developing and expanding Medicareplus International’s contacts within the skin care community.

  • Promote the company’s commercial strategy, enhance brand awareness and brand identity.

  • Lead the development of product strategy, including planning and management of all marketing-associated elements of upcoming commercial and product launches.

  • Development of metrics to assess the impact of all marketing-related campaigns and impact on sales growth and include in the written monthly impact reports.

  • Attend regular commercial team meetings and present at National Sales and marketing meetings.

  • Lead the preparation of the tender submission package. Participate in the final review by the Director and Line Manager prior to submission.

Skills & experience

  • 10+ years marketing and management experience and strong track record of achievements within healthcare or medical devices. Ideally within a fast growth environment.

  • Strategy development, project management and influencing skill set.

  • Internet savvy with an understanding of digital marketing and appropriate social media techniques relevant to our market.

  • Degree educated, ideally in marketing business finance, science or medicine.

  • Business related computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM skills.
