Aptus Recruitment is working on behalf of our client who is looking for a Marketing Manager on a permanent full-time basis. Your role will be an integral part of the marketing team, working alongside the marketing manager to build a brand strategy and activities to promote the internationally renowned veterinary organisation.

About the job:
Your job as brand manager will essentially be to ensure the visual identity of the company and its products is first class and consistent. Initially you will work with the current marketing manager, building upon your current knowledge and understand the company's values through and through; your role will then evolve to focus predominantly on one specific area which you will then manage.
Other responsibilities involved with the position will include managing budgets and deciding on spend based on the yearly strategy, organising and attending events such as exhibitions and seminars and liaising with a range of stakeholders. As the company develops new products on site, you will work closely with the research team to understand the product and create an appropriate launch plan to promote the new ranges. You will also be involved with social media campaigns, management of the production of marketing materials and will actively source advertising opportunities. This is a rare opportunity to have a hands-on role with an organisation that will give you autonomy and the freedom to be creative; you simply have to bring your marketing expertise and enthusiasm for their product to promote the brand even more.

About the ideal candidate:
We would like to speak to marketing professionals who have about 3+ years in a similar role with a marketing degree or equivalent. You will be an excellent communicator, creatively minded with a commercial approach and have the drive and passion to push forward with new campaigns and marketing strategies. The right candidate will be able to analyse data and make commercial decisions that will impact the business.
In terms of software knowledge, it would be highly beneficial to have a high standard of computer literacy with MS Office Suite, Photoshop and Movie Maker.
This is a busy, creative and varied role and would suit a candidate who is genuinely passionate about the veterinary or animal health industry.
Please note, some weekend or evening work may be required to attend shows and events so flexibility will be required.
