We're seeking a marketing specialist to utilise their creativity and expertise in creating brand new strategy for two large-scale bi-annual shows, and continue expanding our client's international media portfolio as they move into 2018.

The company:

You'd be joining the events division of a well-known media brand who connect and inform key decision makers across a whole range of specialist industries.

As one of the biggest names in the media space, their products are highly reputable, professional and technologically advanced. The new Marketing Director, who joined the company 6 months ago, has big plans for 2018 and is now after an outside perspective to challenge current methods and use innovative ways to improve and grow.

The role

You would be joining their 10 strong Marketing team as a show-specific marketing manager. This role is more about strategy and "big picture" plans rather than the nitty gritty aspects of marketing campaigns. In order to do this, you'll frequently be liaising with sales, operations, stakeholders and technology teams to ensure a coherent end-to-end plan that meets objectives and maintains the company's excellent reputation.

Most of the time the implementation of the campaigns will be executed by marketers with a specialism in specific channels, but you will be required to get involved with this occasionally, creating high-quality engaging copy.

You'll also be a key contributor in the vision of the company going forwards. Frequently meeting with the MDs to identify places for improvement, helping recruit and develop the junior marketers, and creatively problem solving around industry-based difficulties.

The person:

As marketing manager, you need to be creative, confident, adaptable and highly driven. They're looking for someone brimming with ideas who is really excited at the chance to implement them, and play a key part in the development of the portfolio going forwards.

oDegree educated with strong academics
oA natural communicator, able to adapt to a whole range of personalities
oSome experience in lead generation/new business would be preferable
oExperience in strategy and planning of end-to-end campaigns
