Marketing Manager - 12 month FTC

We are looking for a marketing leader to support the Head of Marketing in delivering 6 global conferences and associated Training courses within this portfolio. The successful candidate will be an ambitious and organised self-starter who will be responsible for delivering revenue, developing and executing the marketing strategy, supporting sponsorship and driving growth.

If you’re right for this role:

· You’ll have plenty of experience of planning and creating conference marketing campaigns using a wide range of digital and offline channels, delivering on ambitious growth targets and controlling costs
· You’ll be used to challenging the status quo, identifying and successfully implementing new initiatives to expand our routes to market and ways to attract audiences, generate revenue, and obtaining the necessary buy-in whilst all the time leading by example
· You’ll have a passion for data and will be responsible for growth, development and lead generation for the sector
· You’ll thrive on the opportunity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met at all times and always deliver on your objectives
· You’ll have a great balance between obsessing over measuring important KPI’s, and thinking laterally to solve problems with innovative and creative solutions
· You’ll be methodical, organised and innovative in your approach
· You’ll be an outgoing and effective communicator, skilled at engaging, influencing and connecting with in-house specialists, and external organisations

Role/Responsibilities

· Growing the existing portfolio through building and retaining delegate audiences, and building sustainable audiences for our new conferences
· Identifying and embracing new marketing methods, driving forward and implementing new and creative ideas to support revenue targets
· Responsibility for database strategy, development and lead generation for those conferences within your sector, working with marketing specialists to optimise the end-to-end lead management process
· Interpreting key performance indicators and identifying themes and trends, implementing actions based on findings
· Responsibility for all marketing communications to ensure quality, message and brand values are maintained
· Developing strong internal and external relationships, and have experience of working in a matrix structure
· Managing constructive relationships with key contacts including the internal team, stakeholders, and external joint venture partners

Skills Required


· International marketing experience, preferably in conference or event environment
· Results focused
· Ambitious, dynamic and self-motivated person with the will to drive forward new ideas
· Ability to multi-task, and quickly change course as required
· Excellent attention to detail
· Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining excellent personal relationships with team members, the wider business, external businesses and suppliers
· Analytic and numerate
· Creative thinker, who is used to finding workable solutions rather than problems
· Experience of using integrated marketing
