MARKETING EXECUTIVE - EXHIBITIONS - LONDON BRIDGE - £24K - £30K + BONUS

The 11 specific expectations for the role as Marketing Executive

1. Purpose of the role, key deliverables, responsibilities: "What does not happen if role does not exist?"

  • Coordinate the implementation of the "360°" communication plan for the exhibitor and visitor recruitment: fulfilling media deals, direct marketing, electronic & social media, database filtering and extraction activities ...
  • Produce all communication supports (exhibitor brochure, ads, show guides, posters, radio & tv spots, invitations, catalogues, website, apps, e-news/ HTMLs, ...): planning, copy, lay-out, proofreading, production, delivery, collation, ...
  • SPOC pre-event for exhibitors (marketing activities), speakers, visitors

2. Management of resources (team(s), budget, other resources):

  • Day to day fulfilment of marketing schedule

3. Delegation of authority, decision making:

  • n.a.

4. Primary internal work relations

  • Cluster Marketing Project Leader, Head of Cluster, Sales Team, Data Coordinator, Operations

5. Primary external work relations

  • Exhibitors, Speakers, Visitors and Visitor Prospects, Associations, Sector Organizations, Media Partners

6. Main processes, systems, tools used

  • EVMS & NAV, CMS, Microsoft Office Suite, registration system; Smart Focus; Social Media Tools, GoogleAnalytics, App

7. Three performance indicators: "How would you describe an outstanding performance in this role?"

  • Perform constantly above set objectives (visitors, exhibitors, conference attendees, keynote speakers)
  • Role model in creative use of social media
  • Increase visitor numbers by 20% year on year

8. Three expected deliverables by the end of the first three months

  • Master the different marketing tools and resources
  • Understand the market: main challenges and trends of the sector, industry value chain & key players, VQA (Visitor Quality Assurance)
  • Autonomous in the fulfilment of marketing schedule

9. Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor in communication/marketing or event management qualification ideal

10. Experience (professional or industry knowledge, level of expertise,...)

  • 1 y + experience communication & commercial skills, resilience, good copy-writing skills, creativity, new media user, open for new technologies, planning & organization skills

The 11 generic expectations for the role as Marketing Executive

1. GENERIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Advanced knowledge (probably 6 months to 2 years) of some systems and methods. Technical skills used in providing support services to others.

2. TASKS:

Coordination/management of different but mostly homogeneous activities. Expected to carry out or coordinate execution of instructions, ensuring a shared understanding.

3. MEETING CUSTOMER NEEDS:

Consider customer satisfaction as permanent objective in day-to-day activities.

4. AUTONOMY:

Submitted to well defined methods and general working rules. Submitted to regular monitoring of results.
