Marketing Executive - Haslemere


Our client is seeking a Marketing Executive to deliver marketing strategy in line with the company objectives. Working with suppliers, customers and staff to ensure all marketing activities are implemented to promote the marketing experience at the highest level.

Job Description

  • Write and proofread marketing copy for print, email, product and customer communications
  • Produce creative content, including videos and blog posts
  • Develop a marketing content plan
  • Organise and attend events such as conferences and exhibitions
  • Liaise with designer and agency to organise product photo shoots
  • Conduct research, for example customer NPS benchmarking
  • Managing advertising, public relations and direct marketing activity
  • Work closely with in-house creative and agencies to design marketing materials such as catalogues, brochures and adverts
  • Constantly review ways of working to try to improve the overall efficiency and output. This includes provision of templates/guides/forms and tools to other areas of the business that regularly request the same work
  • Management of customer and prospect database. Carry out continual analysis on the maintenance and accuracy of data, and report on progress against agreed data KPI’s
  • Maintain a regular data cleansing schedule of databases. Reduce gone ways and bounce backs through data purging
  • Responsible for segmentation and provision of customer data according to campaign strategy and messaging objectives, including management of audience exclusions and documentation of campaign production processes.
  • Develop accurate reports and analysis for Marketing Director to demonstrate effective return on investment (ROI) for all activities
  • Manage internal communications, to ensure all relevant stakeholders are kept informed of marketing activity
  • Assist the marketing team with any ad-hoc projects as necessary
  • Ensure best practice is followed at all times
  • Keep up to date with current marketing trends
  • Attend training as required and ensure proactive self-development to enhance relevant knowledge and skills

Person / Experience Required


  • Higher Education
  • Recognised Marketing Qualification, degree or CIM
  • Strong copywriting and proofing skills
  • Email marketing
  • Database management
  • Event management
  • Social media management skills including; Twitter, Facebook & YouTube
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English
  • Strong analytical and data skills
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel to include formulas and V Lookups
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Digital Native, comfortable with new technology
  • Commercial awareness


  • Project Management experience
  • Understanding of Multi-Channel business and market sectors
