Marketing Executive - Verwood - BH31

The Work Shop are currently working with a leading houseware distribution company who supply innovative and luxury products to major retailers both in the UK and abroad

Due to expansion they are looking to recruit a creative and results focused Marketing Executive to manage the day to day running of marketing activities across the represented brands. The position sits closely with the Brand Director and the Managing Director and you will be integral to their decisions and have real influence on marketing strategy. You will be an ambassador for the brands and the role will include some travel for trade shows and presentations to international trading partners.

Responsibilities of Marketing Executive role:-

  • Implement annual & quarterly marketing plans for both trade and end consumers
  • Produce content for print, literature and electronic platforms

  • Liaise with external creative agencies and freelance graphic designers

  • Gather content and photographs from branded suppliers

  • Plan and organise photography shoots for products and collections

  • Write weekly blog content

  • Provide content for email campaigns

  • Ensure the brand is consistent across all marketing materials

  • Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter)

  • Communicate new product launches to internal and external stake holders

  • Plan UK and international trade shows

  • Analyse competitor activity each quarter, summarise & make recommendations

  • Develop and deliver POS displays, promotional materials and digital assets

  • Plan monthly press releases in line with wider marketing plan

  • Ensure competitive quotes are received for all projects and make cost saving recommendations

    The ideal Marketing Executive profile:-

  • A minimum of 2 years previous marketing experience

  • A related degree would be beneficial

  • Experience writing engaging and accurate content is essential

  • Good knowledge of key social media platforms (particularly Instagram)

  • Project Management capabilities

  • Ability to create photographic content is essential as well as basic knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign and Photoshop)

  • Exposure to Google analytics and key word tools

  • Good presentation skills as well as outstanding written & verbal communication skills

  • Salary - £20,000 to £25,000 DOE.
