Marketing Executive

The Marketing Executive will be responsible for implementing marketing activity and delivering innovative integrated marketing campaigns that promote the organisation's activities, particularly their events.

  • Acting as a project manager for the marketing and communication of larger events, ensuring maximum exposure, in alignment with corporate objectives and strategy according to budget
  • Monitor and report upon the effectiveness of campaigns and be proactive in creating alternatives
  • Supporting the marketing manager in the effective delivery of all marketing activities across the full marketing mix including planning, digital, print, sponsorship, events, advertising, web and more
  • Working closely with the events team to plan, co-ordinate, implement and evaluate the communication and marketing activity for the entire event programme both in the UK and internationally
  • Campaigns to include e-marketing and direct mail campaigns, social media, and collateral production
  • Conducting market, client and competitor research to influence and develop marketing plans
  • Build and maintain relationships both internally and with external agencies in order to deliver effective marketing and communications activity
  • Evaluate and consider client segmentation across UK regions, international locations and practice areas
  • Monitoring and updating web events pages, ensuring information is appropriate and accurate
  • Lead on the development of marketing collateral working closely with events team, project managing content, deadlines and distribution



  • Minimum of two years marketing executive experience, preferably within an event environment
  • Experience with a broad range of marketing activities including print and mail, electronic and social media
  • Strong communicator, both in person and in writing
  • Well organised, deadline driven

  • Attention to detail and proof-reading skills

  • Sound research and analytical skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Enjoys working as part of a busy team and contributing fully to it

  • Able to interact appropriately with a range of internal and external stakeholders of all levels


  • Experience of marketing large scale, B2B events

  • Experience utilising targeted campaigns, email, social media and web

  • A person with creative flair and a flexible approach

  • Experience of working with a membership organisation

  • Exposure to financial sectors

Job Offer

  • A salary between £33,000 and £34,000
