Marketing & Events Manager

A really good client of ours in Bishops Stortford is looking for an Events and Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Global Partnership and Regional Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Events Manager will work to support the Marketing team strategy with a 70/30 focus on events/regional marketing support; developing and project managing online, internal and third-party events, and supporting regional marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ marketing and events experience, be able to work unsupported, think on their feet and have a keen eye for attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research, plan and execute all online, internal and third-party events
  • Develop and support regional marketing campaigns, working across EMEA, Americas and APAC
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product management and marketing) on creation, messaging, content development, design and logistics in relation to events and regional campaigns
  • Engage with event speakers and partners on logistics and management
  • Manage individual event budgets
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of each event/campaign i.e. leads and ROI
  • Process all event administration and logistics
  • Manage promotional stock by coordinating requirements with regional offices and placing orders with external vendors

  • Able to anticipate and map out project needs, proactively problem-solving where necessary
  • Confident, able to work well within a team environment as well as working independently
  • Excellent people management skills to interact with peers, executives and third parties
  • Strong presentation, writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in using the Web to conduct research
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Experience / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a marketing/events role
  • Must be comfortable splitting time between office and remote working
  • Must be comfortable with European and transatlantic travel

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)
