Marketing Events Executive/Conferences

Our client is a leading business with the events industry and they require an Marketing Events Executive to manage multiply marketing campaigns and manage their social media channels - salary £23-26k plus £2k bonus.

  • The Marketing Events Executive will run a number of marketing campaigns per month keeping to deadlines set
  • To increase average number of delegates in your sector by a minimum of 5% year on year
  • To produce effective marketing plans within budget
  • Negotiating rate card costs to obtain best possible prices for external activity
  • To achieve management sales targets

Responsibilities

The Marketing Events Executive with events experience for each campaign the following procedures must be adhered to:

  • Research outside marketing brief to find best channels to market
  • The Marketing Events Executive will look at new marketing channels such as Social Media
  • As Marketing Events Executive you will write copy for premail, mainmail, re-mail stages of campaigns. (DM, fax, email)
  • Make targeted internal data selections for premail, mainmail and remail stages of campaign utilising all data available in house
  • Source new and relevant data where necessary
  • Contact all potential marketing partners to set up contra deals - trade associations, newsletters, magazines, websites etc
  • Build relationships with long term media partners and enhance existing agreements
  • To work with sponsors in order to promote conferences wherever possible
  • Maintain contact with suppliers and monitor work in progress (printers, mail house, couriers)
  • Manage print runs from ISDN through to delivery
  • Manage mailings from delivery through to land dates
  • Write and send press releases for each campaign to ensure maximum PR coverage.
  • Send e-mail campaigns through in house email system
  • Send fax campaigns using external fax server
  • Monitor the response of marketing activity
  • Devise unique reference links (URLs) for each section of the campaign to track web coverage.
  • Provide handover to telemarketing department
  • Ensure relevant cross marketing is provided for each conference in your sector
  • Post campaign analysis to monitor success of each aspect of campaign.

To maintain effective communication within sector group (production, sales, sponsorship, events, etc)

  • To establish long term relationships with key industry partners
  • To maintain effective communication within marketing group
  • To keep up to date with competitor activity
  • To ensure effective cover during holiday
  • Look for relevant lists to develop internal database
