Marketing Director

Our client has probably the best known and most successful brand in the UK that does not have a sales and marketing function behind it. Despite this, they have seen steady, profitable growth but are now ready to step up this development and would like to appoint someone who will establish a strategic sales, commercial, business development and marketing strategy.  You will receive many benefits including 30-50% bonus, LTIP, pension, healthcare, company car and much more.

The client has a £90million+ turnover and operates independently although they are part of a global investment business which owns and operates assets around the world with a value exceeding £50billion.

As the Marketing Director your responsibilities will include: 

- Leading the company’s sales and marketing strategy, enabling the business to be more commercially led.
- Driving B2B revenue growth whilst enhancing B2C programmes.
- Being responsible for the analysis and commercial realisation of target segment opportunities, pricing and product development.
- Representation of the company with senior commercial and political segments.
- Taking the lead in sales management of top commercial accounts, spotting opportunities within existing contracts and winning new business.
- Ensuring excellent service in a heavily customer facing environment.

To be a successful Marketing Director you will have the following skills and experience:

- Acting successfully as a Senior Marketer for a business of £50m+ turnover.
- People management and building a small team.
- Hands on experience of social media, CRM and website management; experienced in managing agency relationships to best effect.
- Knowledge of logistics or transport would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience in taking complex pricing decisions to optimise profit.
- Demonstrable success in new product/service development and introduction.
- Ability to understand technology, the data it generates, and the way technology can be used to support campaigns.
- Business Development - extensive experience of blue-chip customer contact, managing and negotiating multi-million contracts.

 In return, the Director will receive a salary of c£90,000 per annum.
