Marketing Coordinator

Role

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to support the delivery of the University’s UK Recruitment Strategy.

This role if full time, for 6 months in the first instance.

Duties and Responsibilities

- To support relationships with schools and colleges through participation in a series of planned events and activities.

- To promote the University of Northampton and capture prospect data effectively through representation at recruitment fairs and exhibitions

- Liaise with key contacts at external organisations as directed maintaining high levels of customer service at all times

- Support in the delivery of faculty specific recruitment activity as directed

- The post holder will be expected to travel widely across the UK, this will include some overnight stays as well as evening and weekend working

- The post holder will be expected to represent the university at large exhibitions and smaller scale events on a weekly basis

- The post holder will at times be asked to deliver individual presentations to school and college groups and support in the delivery of on-campus events

- To contribute to the delivery of the University’s Open Days and Applicant Visit Days

- Provide administration based support to the team as required

Person Specification

- Degree (or equivalent) in Business/Marketing/Customer Service and/or relevant demonstrable work experience

- Good understanding of the Higher Education sector

- Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the UK

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to quickly disseminate accurate and relevant information to enquirers, in line with University USP’s and key messages

- Experience of customer service/sales roles or the ability to work effectively within these environments

- Ability to work independently and using own initiative in order to problem solve when working off-site

- Strong attention to detail

- Well-presented and approachable

- Excellent organisation and time management skills

- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills

- Ability and willingness to work remotely

- Ability to quickly adapt to technological advances and learn current CRM systems

- Maintain and update CRM system records
