Hybrid working role with an international membership organisation and registered charity, which promotes and advances its industry around the world.

The role:

The Marketing Communications Executive role is really central to the delivery of all marketing and membership promotion activity across two regions. The organisation is key to encouraging young people to take up careers within the sector and helping existing professionals achieve higher levels of accreditation to enable their careers to develop at a higher level. They work with the education industry to ensure that industry relevant degrees align with the requirements of obtaining work and have a wide spectrum of stakeholders that they engage with.

The role will be to ensure effective communications to all members working closely with other central and regional marketing team. You’ll assist with the development of new and existing relationships with academics, schools and STEM organisations as well as industry-relevant communications and business development which could be via any part of the marketing mix including social media, email marketing or direct marketing as well as website work. Coordinating regional events will play a large part in your role as will the development of promotional materials and other media. You could also be involved with developing reports, policy position statements and responses to government consultations, and you’ll also be the media specialist ensuring positive PR wherever possible.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced marketer who is used to working with a number of stakeholders and has proven experience of developing marketing communications and social media plans as well as the production of high quality marketing materials, probably from a b2b background. You’ll be used to organising a variety of corporate events and will have strong project management skills. You’ll also be able to take on board relatively complex information and produce copy and messages appropriate to the variety of audiences the organisation appeals to. This is a really broad role and quite a small team, and whilst you’ll be in constant communication with other regions and the centralised marketing function, you’ll need to be focussed, flexible and used to working on your own initiative.

What’s on Offer?

Salary for the role is up to £36,000 with 25 days holiday plus a Christmas shutdown and a generous pension scheme. The role is office based on a Monday and Tuesday (this is due to an office share arrangement) but the offices are centrally located and a really nice space to be in when required.
