Our client is a small but enthusiastic landscape company with a passion for innovation and trends in plants. Their success is based on a dedicated commitment to customer service and their passion for innovation.
They are looking for a very creative Business Development Executive (or Marketing Executive) to help them grow the business. They work with facilities managers, architects, surveyors, interior designers; and end-users in the hospitality, finance, legal and pharmaceutical sectors. Historically their customer base has largely been in East Anglia but they are now seeking to expand the business further afield, especially in the London market.
About the Marketing / Business Development Executive:
Responsibilities of this post will be very varied and interesting (including both in-bound and out-bound marketing) but it will primarily be the pursuit of potential customers by telemarketing from purchased construction industry leads. It will include all aspects of business development such as lead research (from local press, trade mags, construction Leads, site visits), database management and all necessary digital marketing for the company – such as emarketing, managing social media accounts, blog writing, content marketing and maintenance of our online presence. The role will not involve field sales appointments with customers as product-related sales aspects will be dealt with by the managing director.
The ideal candidate for this role will have the ability to work on their own initiative, have experience in a sales/marketing role (preferably in construction or specification sales) and be prepared for long sales cycles. You will need to have good telephone skills and have a dedicated, creative and persistent approach to work.
