We are currently looking to recruit a Marketing Assistant to help support the Marketing Manager with day to day marketing activities such as our website, social media, email marketing campaigns and external marketing communications.

Main Responsibilities:

    • Provide support and assistance with marketing projects including upcoming website and branding projects
    • Assist with project marketing plans to ensure actions are kept up to date and regularly reviewed
    • Assist with delivering marketing plan objectives
    • Contribute creative ideas to site branding and support site teams with marketing assistance
    • Help generate written and visual (including video) content for marketing communications and regularly contribute to social media posts
    • Support Marketing Manager with marketing research
    • Assist with content marketing strategy and creation of targeted content marketing schedule
    • Help write external PR, communications and good news stories to promote externally
    • Assist with marketing requirements across the business
    • Support with the production of marketing collateral, brochures, case studies and documentation
    • Support with in-house graphic design requirements and help put together creative content
    • Help deliver online & offline marketing campaigns for the business, projects and sectors
    • Help with monthly search engine optimisation activities
    • Help champion company branding and corporate identity throughout the business, communicating guidelines and standards internally
    • Support marketing requirements for various events
    • Collate and maintain marketing image library for external use
    • Help assist with project photography brief and give creative direction to photographer
    • Help with administrative tasks and ad hoc marketing activities as and when required
Essential and desirable criteria

Desirable Experience:

Some experience in a marketing related role would be preferred but a school/college leaver who can demonstrate a passion for working in a marketing role will be considered on an higher level apprentice scheme where you will get the opportunity to study an NVQ level 3 qualification.

Essential experience:

    • Computer literacy (up to Intermediate Level for MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint desirable)
    • Good numeracy skills
    • Accuracy
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • General administration and organisational skills
    • Team working
    • Good customer service skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Good general level of education to A-Level or equivalent
Personal Qualities

Person Specification & Skills:

    • Shows key interest in marketing - is studying or has completed a marketing/media related qualification
    • Good creative writing skills required and ability to write engaging content for the external audience
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Keen interest in digital, social media and video marketing
    • Ability to think outside the box and bring in new ideas to the Sales & marketing team
    • Good organisation skills and ability to take instructions
    • Team player and able to work independently
    • Graphic design experience required
    • Passionate to learn about up and coming and future marketing trends
    • Good understanding of basic IT applications as well as marketing programmes such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Web content management systems, Video editing software.
    • Good IT skills and ability to learn new software applications quickly
    • Ability to collate and analyse marketing data
    • Interest in photography is also favourable
