Marketing Assistant

We have a wonderful opportunity to join a fantastic organisation, based on the outskirts on Maidstone, within their Marketing team.

The role will require you to be a critical link between product, sales and target customers. Assisting with the execution and monitor performance of product/customer campaigns and help drive optimisation. You will be involved with everything from creating marketing & sales collateral, to planning and attending events. This will be a fast-paced role and will give you experience across the full marketing mix.

Duties will include:

  • Marketing Database - responsible for the entry and accuracy of the data in the marketing database. Using visit reports, feedback, emails and information provided by the Sales Team, insert new, or correct existing records to keep the information as up to date as possible
  • Projects - By leading and assisting in specific tasks you will be involved with the planning, research and coordination of projects that are initiated within the marketing department
  • Events and Trade Shows - By contributing to the organisation of company events
  • Merchandise and Literature - Be responsible for the ordering, distribution, and reporting of any low levels of stock of all merchandise
  • To be responsible for maintaining stock of corporate literature, organising any need
  • Promotions, Competitions, and Loyalty Schemes - Assist in the creation of promotions, competitions and loyalty schemes and to take responsibility for the organisation of merchandise and literature, the preparation and communication of information, and the handling of entries and prize winners
  • Administration - Include any other administrative and support duties as may be required. Key duties include; raising purchase orders, handling incoming enquiries from trade media and company websites, preparing product information for publication, analysing performance of publicised references
  • Copywriting/Proofreading - Assist in the production of copy for any company product/brand material as may be required. To assist in proofreading and the sign off process for any company product/brand material as may be required

Skills and experience required:

  • Ideally will have gained exposure to in B2B marketing role
  • Proven copywriting and proofreading ability
  • Relevant qualifications will be desirable
  • SEO skills will be desirable
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office software, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Clear understanding of the functionality of a Customer database (CRM)
  • A clear understanding of a project management principle
  • Dynamic, flexible and comfortable with working in a constantly changing and fast paced environment
  • An engaging & clear communicator
  • Organised, with excellent external and internal stakeholder management; able to manage relationships and work with multiple individuals across multiple geographies, functions and seniority levels
  • Numerically minded with proven experience of using various analytical tools
  • Creative thinker
