Your new role
The Marketing & Client Executive (Business Development) role is responsible for two Market Focus Groups; Higher Education and Energy & Resource Management. As part of the vibrant Business Development & Marketing Department you will be working with Partners to develop Market Business Plans helping to shape the development of the client base, service offering, brand profile and strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Energy & Resource Management and Higher Education MFGs in the delivery of their business plans plan regarding workstreams, market information, client research, campaigns and events
  • Providing the link between the MFGs and the BD&M team
  • Managing key strategic relationships
  • Supporting the Business Development Manager in achieving the Market Focus Groups overall objectives and financial performance, as well strategy and planning
  • Developing an understanding of your market place and add value
  • Identifying and assisting with targeting of clients for growth, relationship management teams and new business opportunities.
  • Brief and work with other BDM colleagues on delivery of marketing, events, PR and conferences/events
  • Represent the firm at industry events and conferences
  • Develop and assist with new product offerings
  • Member of Key Client Relationship teams
  • To keep and update key client information on the firms CRM system.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience working within a similar relationship management role is essential, and any experience across the energy or higher education sectors is desirable!

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to network, build strong relationships and negotiate
  • Strong communicator (both written and verbal) and relationship developer
  • Strategic thinker, with a level of business acumen to provide opinion and challenge to others
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a wider team
  • Proactivity is key!
