We’re looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Acquisition Lead to help drive new customer sales across the full product portfolio: Plusnet Residential Broadband, Business Broadband and Mobile. Reporting to the Acquisition Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the creative and media agencies, working closely with relevant departments throughout Plusnet & BT to support the delivery of direct response marketing campaigns.

Experience working across digital and offline marketing channels from creative through to media, as well as strong analytical and commercial understanding will be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your marketing skills in a high profile team.

As Marketing Acquisition Lead you will...

  • Support the Acquisition Marketing Manager in implementing the marketing plan in line with company objectives
  • Manage the delivery and evaluation of marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition across a mix of channels including online display, social, press, radio and DRTV
  • Work closely with the propositions team to deliver appropriate marketing support to a fast moving offers plan
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with the creative and media agencies, briefing new campaigns as required
  • Work closely with agencies to measure and optimise campaign effectiveness, using a test and learn approach to maximise ROMI
  • Manage weekly (or daily) marketing activity effectiveness and KPI’s - reporting back to key stakeholders as appropriate, offering recommendations how best to improve performance
  • Work with legal teams to approve marketing claims being used in creative work
  • Monitor competitor activities and work with the marketing team to define responses to competitor activities where appropriate
  • Be a brand guardian, ensuring campaigns are consistent with relevant guidelines
  • Work closely with relevant Plusnet, BT and EE departments to deliver updates on marketing campaigns and offer plans, managing monthly sales agent forums
  • Deliver weekly trading/channel performance updates to Senior Acquisition Marketing Manager
  • Manage any other reasonable requests from your line manager or senior management team

To be able to succeed in this role, you must have the following skills and experience…

Essential

  • Marketing experience in a fast paced environment with a good knowledge of the whole marketing mix, from online display to press, radio and TV
  • Good relationship management skills with ability to manage stakeholders across the business, including Leadership teams
  • Strong agency management skills with previous experience of managing marketing agencies to deliver effective marketing campaigns
  • Good commercial and analytical acumen
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to respond to tight deadlines
  • Confident influencing and communication skills
  • Highly motivated with professional drive and ambition, keen to make a mark and progress to highest levels of the business
  • Confidence to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, taking ownership of projects
  • Passion for brands and customer experience

Desirable

  • Experience working within or with media planning agencies
  • Good copy writing skills
  • An eagerness to learn and to participate in a broad spectrum of activities
  • Action orientated and results driven
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Business or Marketing qualification
  • Passionate for technology
