They’re looking for a dedicated and highly numerate Market Risk Analyst to join their team.

Are you a graduate from a quantitative discipline who has already begun to establish their reputation for excellent analysis and stakeholder management skills? Our client are seeking an enthusiastic and driven graduate to join them as an early career Market Risk Analyst to support their continual enhancement and build-out of Market Risk analytics and approval of investment proposals, ensuring they comply with the Risk Framework and our objectives. Our client have a very diverse investment portfolio (ranging from LDI to Global Credit to Private Equity to Timberland) and as they build out their Market Risk reporting and infrastructure, they often have to find creative solutions in terms of how they model and aggregate risk. This is why we need someone with a passion for Risk within the role.

You will have the opportunity to work with a number of risk owners across the business - ensuring all risks and performance are being monitored. You will also have the opportunity support risk reviews as required.

It is essential that you can demonstrate your ability to measure that investment risks taken are consistent with the agreed Risk Management Framework and Policies. In addition, they need a candidate that shows proactivity in identifying areas where reporting and analytics could be further improved and develops stresses/new metrics that might be relevant for their portfolio as market conditions evolve. In addition, they are committed to supporting you study and therefore, a desire to complete the CFA qualification is strongly encouraged.

They welcome applications from candidates with knowledge of risk management methodology and competent IT users with strong Excel skills, including VBA.
