Job Summary:
This role will help build and maintain strong interfaces within bp especially with C&P, T&S, P&O, I&E and RC&S but also externally with data providers and industry experts. This job is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and commercially focused professional with strong analytical skills and an interest in developing and honing their capabilities in an energised team that fosters progressive, agile & modern ways of working.
The role will work closely with the Market Intelligence Manager, the regional Biofuels Growth teams, and with the low carbon teams across C&P, T&S and G&LCE among others.
Job Description:

Provide expert analysis and insights for bp’s Biofuels Investment Price Set, supporting activities across the bp group, and in the assurance and governance process.

Take a highly active role in developing and improving key analytical tools to support the Biofuels Growth team across the business development activity set

Contribute to competitor intelligence activities to draw meaningful insights and solutions, informing Biofuels Growth strategy and project development.

Contribute to pathway techno-economic analysis alongside I&E technical experts.

Issues management - anticipating and responding to stakeholder needs – mobilising project and broader-business leaders where appropriate.

Align & consult with peers within the team and bp group and share best practise & learnings

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across bp in an agile way
Essential requirements
-
Degree or equivalent experience or relevant qualification would be beneficial
-
A pro-active and driven person with strong analytical capability
-
A strong competence in financial analysis or energy systems modelling
-
Experience building models to harness significant volumes of data and deliver clear actionable insights
-
Ability to build strong, enduring relationships with third parties and across the business
-
Track record of thriving in a fast paced highly ambiguous environment

Good presentation skills and mastery of Excel models and Power Point presentations

Ability to see the bigger picture, overcome challenges & stay goal focused
-
Open to new challenges & confident working in an everchanging environment and managing uncertainties

Ability to grasp low carbon policy
Desirable requirements
-
Experience within Biofuels industry or knowledge of existing and emerging bio and renewable technologies and their practical application in a business context.

Experience developing large supply-demand models, or energy system models
-
Commercial experience within Fuels, Petrochemicals or T&S businesses
-
Good understanding of the integrated energy value chain
-
Good understanding of technical conversion processes within the biofuels industry
-
Understanding of low carbon policy
