This position is working for an established and growing Independent Global Lloyd's Brokers who have been established for over 100 years. They have a new opportunity within their Marine Team for a Marine Cargo Broker
Your role as a Marine Cargo Placing Broker will involve broking Cargo Risks into Lloyd's of London, company and overseas markets. Producing and preparing all documentation to include MRC slips and endorsements. Liaising with clients, assessing their needs, producing relevant paperwork and arranging their insurance accordingly. There is the potential to travel to new and existing clients as the role progresses. The successful candidate will be required to work on a global book of business with lots of involvement with a growing US client base. You will be confident in your communication with both clients and underwriters and be able to negotiate competitive terms effectively.
Experience of placing Cargo risks into both Lloyd’s and company markets whilst having the ability to build and maintain good business relationships with clients, insurers and underwriters, as well as experience in the production of MRC slips.
Your previous experience in a similar role placing and producing Cargo risks will demonstrate your ability to prioritise your delegated workload, managing your own time and having the ability to communicate well within a team, alongside your drive and motivation will allow you to adapt well into this growing team.
