Many Sisters Project Officer (Female Only)

Southern Housing Group is looking for a enthusiastic project officer to provide support to the exciting Many Sisters Project and team members who will be working with women (particularly single mums) from BAMER communities, to help them increase their financial resilience, prevent financial life shocks, avoid unmanageable debt and reduce the impact of the poverty premium.
The key purpose of this role will be to develop and deliver activities, workshops and event programmes while building effective relationships and partnerships for the project. Also, to share your knowledge and project learning to inform Southern Housing Group’s wider approach to financial inclusion, especially for BAMER communities.
Who we’re looking for:
Within this role the project officers will be working in an agile way across Tower Hamlets, Newham and Hackney, with a base at Fleet House, Farringdon. The new project team will be working within the Community Investment department. You will be building key relationships with community groups and stakeholders demonstrating excellent communication skills.
You will have worked within a project team before and have a good understanding of community outreach in the areas you will be working in. The project officers will be supporting the project team leader in delivering the aims and objectives of the project’s plan.
This role is on a fixed term contract basis for 20 months, working 35 hours per week.
