We are seeking a motivated and driven Manufacturing Manager to coordinate, organise and manage improvements of all operational functions within a busy production department based within an established company in Wellington, Somerset. The aim of the position is to meet production requirements whilst ensuring compliance to all relevant standards and procedures.
Key responsibilities will include driving company objectives and KPI's, promoting and strengthening a culture of continuous improvement and development within the department and closely collaborating with the wider operational business. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team, from recruitment of staff members to conducting annual reviews.
Significantly experienced in FMCG at a senior level, you will have strong skills in complex problem solving and building strong working relationships, you will co-ordinate the day to day manufacturing, maintenance and waste management with a good understanding of environmental legislation; focusing on process efficiency and cost-effective production. You will need the ability to lead a team by example and have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. The ability to build strong supplier relationships is essential and you will be required to attend trade shows as necessary. You will need to have budget management experience and also a good understanding of health and safety requirements.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and highly adaptable and ideally educated to degree level in Engineering or a Chemistry discipline.
