You will be a keystone to the operations by effectively planning corrective/preventative maintenance activities on machines, to avoid machine breakdown and production halts. You should be organised and be able to schedule maintenance activities in a way that limits the interference with the rest of operations.
This is a varied role but as a minimum applicants should be mechanical biased with electrical experience. It is imperative you have reactive maintenance experience in previous positions.
A non exhaustive list of duties:
Ensuring relevant checks and maintenance activities are scheduled, performed and documented for records
Monitoring of site security systems to ensure all components effectively prevent
Providing support to technicians both with knowledge and shift cover
Development and ongoing ownership of a Computer assisted maintenance management system.
Training colleagues and technicians during maintenance activities
Quality Inspection on jobs
Diagnosing faults and causes break down
Reactive work - may sometimes be required to attend out of hours
Must be time served with relevant qualifications (City and Guilds or BTEC)
Able to interpret drawings
Flexible worker - able to attend site outside of their base hours
Previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment a must
