Are you interested in automation and improving efficiencies? Do you love tearing down and rebuilding processes in order to directly improve results on the shop floor? If so, please read on…

This manufacturing firm has delivered unbelievable growth within a specialist market, by focusing on adding value for their customers and giving themselves an advantage over the competition. As a result, capacity improvement is the next step in the development of the organisation, and this role has been created to help deliver it.

A new Operations Director was appointed earlier this year, to take this great business to the next level by evolving its operational practices and procedures, with the end goal of becoming a world class manufacturer.

The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to the Operations Director, responsible initially for delivering an ongoing automation project, working with a supplier of process automation to execute the final stages and ensure smooth launch of the newly updated process. Once complete, you will be given the opportunity to value stream map processes across the factory, before presenting opportunities & potential returns to the Operations Director and deciding together which to prioritise and move forward.

This is a high-profile role and one where your contribution will be obvious, but also one with HUGE opportunities for improvement - you won't be going after 1% gains, you'll be transforming the factory one process at a time!

The successful candidate could progress to a multi-site role, into other functional areas, or into a different division within the group, and will drive any progression through performance.

Please apply with your CV, or call Paul Strachan on 07725-844784 for more information.
