My client is currently going through a period of significant growth following a recent acquisition and is looking to strengthen its Finance team with the addition of an experienced Manufacturing/Cost Accountant.
Reporting to the Operations Financial Controller you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting for the manufacturing operations and inventory and will be a key player in driving improvements in processes, reporting and systems.
In addition to the preparation of the monthly manufacturing P&L to a strict timetable, together with in depth analysis of production and spend variances.
Monthly WIP and inventory valuation and reconciliation to the general ledger ensuring that any differences are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
Maintenance of the standard costing system including cost roll-up for new and existing products ensuring these are accurate and consistent.
Preparation of the annual manufacturing budget.
Review and development of processes and controls relating to production and inventory.
Support with the development of forecasting, reporting and ERP enhancements.
Monitoring, analysis and reporting on the impact of price / cost changes within the business.
Assisting with cost-down programmes and monthly reporting.
This is a superb role in which to challenge the existing, impact the business and truly make a difference. Qualified (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) applicants will have proven experience working in a manufacturing environment, with an understanding of the manufacturing process and standard costs. You will be a highly numerate and diligent individual with strong attention to detail. Commercially aware you will have exceptional interpersonal skills with the proven ability at building relationships cross functionally.
