Joining the firm as a key addition as a Manager, based in the firms offices in Bristol you will oversee the delivery of wide ranging services general accountancy practice services as pivotal support and bridge between your team and the partners/directors. You will play a lead role in supporting the directors/partners with the development and support of the wider accounting team. You will manage workloads, allocations and planning and look to develop the team, mentoring and supporting a range of individuals at differing stages in their careers. Whilst the firm has a small element of audit, for around 10-12 audits per year, should you being audit experience this will be a bonus, audit experience is not a necessity, as this can be managed around the right persons technical strengths and areas of interest. Most clients are smaller owner-managed businesses, mainly limited companies but also with some sole traders and partnerships. The bulk of the technical accounting services are accounts focused with corporation tax, personal tax and ad-hoc projects as and when they arise (cashflows/budgeting and due diligence, business sales etc). Your responsibilities will therefore have a strong accounts and advisory focus and therefore should your background be entirely focused on accounts/tax etc this can equally work well here .
ACA or ACCA qualified, with several years post qualified experience, or suitably qualified by experience you will have a background in accountancy practice, with experience across a range of accounts, management accounts and potentially audit provision (although not essential for audit). You will have a career background within a small, medium or large firm environment, Top 10or Mid Tier firm around Manager level. You will be looking to further your career in a role where you can carve a key position and develop with long term career potential and opportunity to progress.
£38,000 - £48,000 plus benefits, negotiable, dependent on experience and background
