We have long term placement opportunities available for a Manager – ICT Service Desk and Desktop Teams available at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
In this key role in our Department, and for the organisation as a whole, you will be responsible for managing and developing the day-to-day operations of the Service Desk function and the Desktop Support and Field Teams. Through your outstanding management skills you’ll ensure an effective, efficient and flexible service for users across the organisation, including both hospital and community sites. You will make sure that the services operate in line with the Department’s ICT Strategy, and maintain the highest levels of professional standards at all times, with specific reference to ITIL best practice processes. You’ll also lead and manage a range of projects which support business objectives and service improvement across ICT.
You’ll be educated to Masters level or possesses the equivalent level of specialist technical knowledge gained through significant experience of working within service desk and desktop support teams within large, complex organisations. We’d like you to have the ITIL Foundation programme, and have experience of managing staff teams, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and other ICT teams and specialists across the Department.

Information Technology is integral to the Trust, and this is an exciting time as we undergo a major transformation of our Information Technology platforms and services to support the growing Digital requirements of the Trust, with major programmes underway to upgrade and transform our infrastructure with particular focus on our Voice & Data Networks, Telephony, Data Centres and Devices (with our move to Windows 10).pro
Within our operational ICT services we are also seeking experienced professionals to provide effective management of our core technology functions, while we transform our infrastructure for the benefit of our patients, staff, and our dedicated Informatics team.
