Our client is currently looking for a Management Accountant to join their team based in Aston,Birmingham. You will join them on a full time, permanent basis working 35 hours per week and in return you will receive a salary of £35,000 per annum.
Our client is a Christian charity providing a range of life-changing services for the local community. With a turnover of over £4m, they house over 300 young people, most of whom previously were homeless, and support them to get their lives back on track. They also care for 150 pre-school children in three nurseries and run various social enterprises to create employment and generate income for our charitable work.
With over 120 Staff and volunteers working for them and thousands of people using their many premises every year, they are an organisation committed to delivering the best possible service to their customers in line with our Christian ethos and values.
The Management Accountant Role:
Supporting their Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in preparing the monthly management accounts of the company and its subsidiary, meeting with budget holders regularly to understand financial performance and providing advice and solutions as necessary. You will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to spot trends and competence in interrogating financial information.
The role will also entail supporting the Head of Finance in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and budgets and the successful post holder will be experienced in both areas. An understanding of VAT processes will be essential.
To be successful in the Management Accountant role, you will need:
- An ability to multi-task and perform well to deadlines.
- Have a methodical, organised approach to your work.
- Be able to build positive working relationships with internal and external customers and colleagues.
