Optima Professional Services is currently working exclusively with a Leicester based FMCG business for the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join its team. This business is experiencing a really exciting period of growth and the role of the Management Accountant is an additional head into its large accounting function. Working at the firms UK head office which is based in the Meridian Business Park area of the city, close to junction 21 of the M1, they are commutable distance from all areas of Leicestershire, Coventry, Nottingham and Derby.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will have the ownership of the management accounting activities for a recent acquisition into the business. It's a really exciting time for the business and they are seeing a substantial amount of organic growth and plan to make further acquisitions over the next 18 months. As the Management Accountant you will own the management accounts for this significant new part of the business, you will work closely with the management team helping them to understand their accounts and also supporting them with making sound commercial decisions through robust financial analysis both on a proactive and reactive basis. Task wise the role will also include elements of the financial accountant such as supporting with budgeting / forecasting, yearend and fixed assets.

The business is keen to hire a candidate who is looking for a role that will offer excellent all round accounts exposure - management & financial accounting, financial analysis and business partnering. To be considered for this role its essential that you have management accounting experience and be happy dealing with people at all levels of the business. Being a confident communicator is essential and you will have the ability to develop and foster excellent working relationships. They will consider candidates who are actively studying for ACCA or CIMA and applications from excellent candidates who are none studiers. For candidates who are studying they have an excellent study support package available.

The role offers a salary range of between £28,000 and £32,000 plus study support and a generous benefits package.
