Management Accountant

SF Group are currently recruiting for a part qualified Management Accountant. The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Finance in the day to day financial operations of the International business. To support the wider business by providing financial support to divisional and departmental heads across the business. Work closely with all functions, particularly operations, sales and sourcing to drive profitability and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Finance in all month end activity, taking responsibility for the International business unit to ensure month end is completed timely, results are accurate and explained. Work with group finance on month procedures to ensure these are as efficient as possible and that information received at group is consistent to that which has been provided to senior management in the business unit
  • Provide in depth analysis on International business performance to compliment reporting
  • Support the Head of Finance on the day to day responsibility for working capital requirements ensuring the International operations are appropriately funded
  • Assess key challenges within the International division supporting the Head of Finance in developing strategies alongside sourcing and sales to maximise opportunities
  • Work with the Head of Finance to ensure tax and accounting compliance, particularly VAT, for the International operations, ensuring this is appropriately recorded in the books of the business unit
  • Support the audit process. Ensuring information is provided timely, accurately and allows the audit to be signed off within the specified time frame
  • Assist with the production of any analysis required by the Board and ad hoc projects
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and produce analysis for the Board
  • Assist with and maintain documentation of all departmental processes and procedures
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties defined by the Company to ensure business objectives/requirements are met

Personal Skills and Key Competencies:

  • Part or Newly Qualified Accountant e.g. CA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Excellent numerical skills and ability to understand financial information
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of the business fundamentals and direction of the group to drive efficiencies into processes
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong financial interpretation skills
  • Strong presentational skills
