The passionate organisation are going through strong growth, seeking an progressive and hands-on Management Accountant to join their small and hard-working finance team. Reporting directly into the Financial Controller you will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts and statutory reporting for the business. Your new role
Your key duties will involve the preparation and production of monthly management accounts, managing bank and cash forecasts including weekly payment runs along with statutory submissions (VAT, Dutch VAT, intrastat, bill of discharge). You will manage credit insurance for the business and trade loans along with overseeing purchase/sales ledgers and employee expenses. You will assist with year-end audit and annual budget preparation as well as supporting and suggesting operational improvements and efficiencies. You will oversee and line manage a Finance Assistant, supporting and developing where needed as well as ad-hoc financial duties/projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this exciting Management Accountant role you will be part-qualified/newly qualified ACCA/CIMA or be working through your accounting qualification. It is essential that you have experience within a similar role and have been involved in stock accounting processes. Strong MS Excel skills (pivots/lookups) are key along with having key communication skills to build relationships with non-finance teams and senior management. You will be commercial aware with a flexible approach and looking for a challenging role where you can develop further. It will be advantageous if you have worked within the manufacturing sector with sage line 50 experience.
