Role: Management Accountant
Reporting to: Financial Director

Overview:

A world leader in youth media that operates in over 30 countries and distributes its programming to hundreds of millions of viewers across digital, linear, mobile, film and socials. This includes an international network of digital channels, a television and feature film production studio, a magazine, a record label, an in-house creative services agency, a book-publishing division and a new 24-hour TV channel.

Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking to further their career within a global media organisation. You will be supporting our UK Financial Director and Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

·Producing the monthly management accounts including cost accruals, prepayments, accrued/ deferred revenue & associated journals at month end
·Responsible for submitting month end reporting to deadline to EMEA Regional Team including providing commentary on variances
·Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliations
·Liaise with Production Accountants to track delivery of local productions and arrange for invoicing of these.
·Assist with Quarterly forecast/budgets covering key cost areas e.g. editorial, production, post-production, branded including variance analysis to Budget/prior forecast.
·Key contact for year-end audit

Experience and Qualifications:

Newly qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) experience in management accounting and financial analysis (production accounting is a plus)

  • You will need to be highly organised, meticulous,
  • importantly have worked in production or digital media sector.

Ideally you will have at least 3+ years' experience.

·Proven experience of working to tight deadlines; working effectively under pressure
·The ability to business partner and communicate with finance & non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately for all International regions
·A team player with a proactive and enthusiastic approach who takes initiative where needed
·SAP experience is an advantage not a prerequisite.
·Possess strong Excel and systems skills.

·To undertake such other tasks including general administrative duties as may be required from time to time.
·To be an ambassador for the business at all times.
