Totum Partners are delighted to be working with a top 20 Law Firm in their search for a Management Accountant. This is a permanent role and you will be a member of the Commercial Accounting Team. The role will play an active part in driving and supporting the firm wide budgeting processes and you will be required to develop a financial reporting suite for the firm.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include working with the Head of Financial Reporting and Systems to develop a Firm wide financial management information suite to support the strategic goals of the firm. You will also support the development of financial metrics and tools to support financial reporting, profitability growth, pricing and Innovation to maximise profitability and act as the central point within the finance team supporting the forecasting and annual budgeting cycles.
Applicants should have a highly developed understanding of business strategy, supported by accountancy, MBA or other relevant business related qualification. You will need extensive experience in leading effective teams in a complex business environment, ideally within professional services. Expertise with Elite, Excel and Financial reporting tools is essential. You must be highly analytical with advanced financial analysis and modelling skills and have the ability to derive insight from data.
Ideally the candidate should be qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) accountants with experience in professional services, ideally with some law firm exposure. The position requires a highly analytical individual with strong technical accounting skill and first rate organisation and finishing skills. The ability to work in a team and be able to interface with accounts colleagues across its global network is essential.
