Fairways is delighted to be working with a Dundee based charity to recruit a Chartered Accountant with experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Our client designs and manufactures bespoke high-quality products for high profile commercial and private clients across the United Kingdom. The company provides work opportunities to highly skilled craftspeople with physical and mental disabilities and has been operating in Dundee since the early 90s.
The organisation is experiencing a huge upturn in work and the future looks very bright as more clients are discovering their impressive range of products.
They now have a requirement to hire a Chartered Accountant to support the next stage in their growth and help deliver on their 5-year business plan.
The role will involve taking ownership of the company accounts with a focus on cash flow, cost accounting, monthly management accounts and, supporting the identification and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning System across the entire business.
It is important that the successful candidate can take a strategic view of financial management within the organisation and champion change and development.
It is expected that the successful applicant will have worked for a manufacturing or production business in the past and be able to work closely with the Commercial Manager to identify areas of improvement within the financial management of the production facility
This role reports directly to the Managing Director and the successful candidate will quickly become an integral part of the organisation’s leadership team. Excellent communication skills are critical for this type of role as well as being able to demonstrate strategic leadership. A sense of humour is important as is exercising diplomacy and being solutions focused.
