Following a decision to centralize operations in Manchester, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to take the lead on a specific business entity. The role will involve management accounts, statutory accounts, tax, regulatory and budgeting & forecasting responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop and shape their own team.
Key responsibilities and duties include;
o Ensuring that the monthly management accounts and supporting documentation are prepared to an agreed timeline
o Preparing the agreed monthly management accounts schedules for the consolidated finance pack
o Preparing monthly analysis of the major variances arising with the management accounts
o Preparing monthly MI as required by the management of the business
o Oversight of trade creditors and payment runs
o Preparing supporting documentation for the annual audit and interim review
o Participation in on-site visits by the external auditor and ensuring all PBC information requests are fulfilled in a timely manner
o Considering all tax implications of transactions entered into by the business and raising potential issues with the Tax Accountant
o Ensuring daily bank reconciliations are performed and potential client monies are identified
o Managing the daily client money reporting requirements and ensure Finance is compliant with the CASS rulebook
o Reconciliation and reporting of liquidity funding requirements in accordance with the ICAAP
* Budgeting and forecasting
o Supporting the monthly cash flow forecast process
o Providing budget and forecasting information when required
