Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for an growing and well-established manufacturing organisation for a hands-on Management Accountant (full-time or part-time), to report directly into the Chief Operating Officer and support Senior Management within the business. Based in Gloucester, you will join an exciting organisation that are continually growing year-on-year and expanding due to market success.
Your new role
Your key duties will include preparation of month-end management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments along with preparation of VAT returns, EC sales lists and maintenance of fixed asset register. You will be expected to prepare weekly cash flow forecasts, bank reconciliations for multiple accounts using various currencies, processing of weekly/monthly payrolls along with credit control and purchase ledger processes. You will manage ad-hoc financial projects for the Chief Operating Officer and prepare the annual accounts with liaison with external bodies.
What you'll need to succeed
For this hands-on and varied Management Accountant role you must have experience within a similar finance position with the ability to work towards tight deadlines, be able to work with minimal supervision and have knowledge of sage packages (Sage 50 or 200). Key communication skills are essential as you will be in contact with external customers and suppliers along with building relationships with non-financial teams along with key MS Excel skills. It will be advantageous if you have worked within the manufacturing sector previously with stock knowledge and multi-currency accounting.
