Management Accountant (Temporary Contract)

HSS Hire is looking for a experience Management Accountant to join us in our office in Heathrow. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge in a growing fast paced business.

Job Role / Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Finance Manager & Senior Operations Team to ensure business objectives and strategy are designed & delivered

  • Ensuring operational review meetings happen on a monthly or more frequent basis to ensure the operational teams understand the financial and commercial performance and how to optimise performance & meet business unit targets

  • Ownership & sign off of the Business Unit monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet) within the month end timetable. This includes ensuring financial data is accurate and complete. Balance sheet accounts fully reconciled every month.

  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure correct & timely information flows occur to maximise the accuracy of the first draft & final management accounts (P&L and balance sheet). Completeness of month end journals and data integrity.

  • Provide ad-hoc commercial and financial support to the Business Unit operational teams appropriate to the relevant contract life cycle stage and during times of commercial dispute

  • Ensure that robust financial governance is in place, understood & monitored within the Business Unit, including adherence to and communication of the Group, financial controls, business policies and practices

  • Support & drive the operational teams to continually improve and maximise the working capital position of the Business Unit through strong revenue cycle management activity

  • Provide commercial support to the operation with regard to procurement and cost control, including interaction with internal and external suppliers on behalf of the Business Unit as appropriate. Review of the Business Unit supplier payment run

  • Contribute to the MI & Reporting design & build requirements to ensure they meet the financial and commercial needs of the business

  • Interacting with & responding to formal and informal internal and external audit queries

    Experience / Qaulifications Required

  • Part-Qualified/Finalist Accountant (ACA, CA, CIMA, ACCA) with minimum 2 years experience

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to deliver and communicate the finance strategy within the Business Unit

  • Excellent financial and business analytical skills

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to establish professional working relationships across all divisions within HSS

  • Demonstrate maturity, confidence and credibility to challenge and influence individual thinking

  • Able to understand & implement finance and operational processes and systems as required
