Management Accountant - Perfect For Those Looking To Transition To Industry
A&F Chambers are pleased to be working with a local accountancy practice on an exciting role which will see you have the best of both worlds when it comes to practice vs industry.
This accountancy practice has recently acquired a large new client (an entertainment venue) which requires a full time member of staff to work on its finances, but this member of staff will be an employee of the accountancy practice and be situated within its accounts team.
This is a fantastic opportunity which would be a superb transitional role for someone who is looking to make the move to industry in the future as it would give you the required experience you need whilst still working in a familiar practice environment. It would also suit someone coming from an in-house role but who would like to get their foot in the door at a well regarded local accountancy practice.
The role itself will see you managing the entire finance function of the business, from day to day transactions to monthly management accounts and assisting with the year-end financial statements.
- Bookkeeping up to TB stage
- Preparing and filing VAT returns
- Processing and submitting payroll
- Preparing management accounts and providing commentary/analysis
- Maintaining a Fixed Asset Register
- Regular bank and cash reconciliations
- Assiting with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
You will of course be working very closely with the management team of the business and will have the added bonus of having the client Partner at the accountancy practice on hand to assist with any queries.
- At least 3+ years working in a relevant role, be that in practice or in-house
- Strong communication skills
