Management Accountant Part time

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our busy business office. You will need to have attention to detail, be a strong communicator and have good time management to ensure deadlines are met.
The role is predominately to support the Finance manager in delivering monthly and annual KPI's and provide support to the department managers across the hospital.
This is a fast paced role to support the continued growth of the hospital.

Key Accountabilities for the role:
As a member of the business office team you role is to provide support across the hospital to departmental managers and the senior management team.

The role will include, but is not limited to the below:-

  • Production of weekly forecasts
  • Assist with completion of monthly management accounts
  • Gather data to support business cases for new assets/ consumables required
  • Gatekeeper for balance sheet, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and variances investigated and eliminated
  • Control and update fixed asset register
  • Ensure data quality for Nuffield profitability tool is accurate and up to date
  • Handle supplier invoice queries and set up new vendors
  • Ensure data quality for Nuffield profitability tool is accurate and up to date
  • Assist with completion of quarterly forecast checks
  • Assist with completion of annual budget process
  • Provide assistance to Finance manager for Ad-Hoc projects
  • Provide support to department managers as required

A good accounting background is essential and you will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding and experience in the above.

The applicant needs to have good all round IT skills, including excellent excel spread-sheets skills and be able to articulate themselves well both verbally and in writing.
The applicant will need to interact with management in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Minimum of AAT qualified or Part CIMA/ACCA qualified
