Male Support Worker, Jeffrey House, Sutton
£15,500 - £16,200 per annum + benefits
We have an exciting opportunity for full and part time Male Support Workers to join the Avenues team at Jeffery House, Sutton.
In this varied and dynamic role you will empower the people we support to have active and fulfilling lives aligned with their needs and aspirations. Through a mixture of active 1:1 support in their home and the community you will enable people to live as independently as possible and to become happier and more content with their lives as a result.
Our services operate 24/7, 365 days a year and shift patterns will include early mornings, late evenings, sleep-ins and waking nights and you must be flexible to cover the rota at the service
Jeffrey House is a supported living service based near to Cheam in the area of Sutton.
What knowledge and experience should you have?
To be a Support Worker with Avenues you don’t need to have any previous experience as we will ensure you receive fantastic training and support, from day one, to enable you to be outstanding in your role. We do recognise the value that experience can bring and successful candidates with at least 12 months’ sector experience will see this reflected in their salary.

Being a Support Worker is much more than just a job and you’ll have a chance to put your empathy, compassion and patience centre-stage in our person-centred approach to providing support. You will be a natural when it comes to thinking on your feet and making the commitment to see things through and get the best outcomes for the people we support. Above all you’ll be willing to learn and take a flexible approach to your role.
