Male Support Worker Domiciliary Care - Bury St Edmunds

We are currently seeking Male Support Workers to support a gentleman within the community. We are offering two part-time contracts from 15 to 30 hours per week; on a permanent basis. This will be within the Bury St Edmunds area.

Being a Support Worker with Mencap is really about enabling the individuals you are supporting to take part in the activities they choose; and lead a fulfilled life. This particular role will involve supporting with meal planning; finances; health appointments and activities.

This person would love a support worker who is reliable; calming and patient. Looking out for his safety when out and about is a really important; as is providing consistent support. This person would love someone who is friendly; sociable; and likes to get involved. Due to their busy life; being transported to activities and seeing family is very important.

Some of his favourite things to do are going to the gym; attending a work-placement and bowling. Someone who has a passion for seasonal events is a MUST as this individual loves seasonal times of year and Easter is fast approaching!

Flexibility is a must as you will need to be available to work across various shifts to include; days, evenings,and weekends.

Drivers are essential for this position due to role requirements.
