Maintenance Technician (With potential to develop into a Team Leader)

We currently have opportunities for Maintenance Technicians to work in our client's factory in Peterlee on an on-going temporary basis, with the potential to develop your career into a stand in Team Leader position. As a Maintenance Technician you will be required to carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on a wide range of equipment including:-

  • Automated Metal Cutting Equipment.
  • Robotic Welding Equipment
  • PLC Controlled Weld Manipulators
  • DC Tooling Equipment
  • Hydraulic Presses
  • Semi and Fully Automated Paint Plant
  • Overhead Cranes
  • Manual Welding Equipment

Suitable applicants will have:

  • Recognised electro/mechanical apprenticeship followed by a minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fault finding experience on Robotic and CNC machinery.
  • PLC knowledge advantageous.
  • General electrical installation skills and high standards of work.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Previous experience leading / managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise.
  • You should be able to work a 3-shift system, and be prepared to work reasonable amounts of overtime as and when needed.

Qualifications

  • Recognised electro/mechanical apprenticeship followed by a minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Normal working week is: is 36.5 hours, Monday to Friday between 8am and 8am on a 3 shift system.
